The
old Venetian town of Koroni, with its narrow cobbled streets and small harbour for local fishing boats, is positioned on a
steep hillside, near the south western point of the Peloponnese. Looking to the east across the bay, provides a stunning view
of the Mani Peninsular and the Taygetos Mountains which are topped with snow in winter.
Overlooking
the town, there are still the remains of the Koroniís Byzantine Castle with its solid walls which are illuminated by night.
