Molyvos, with the shell of a fine old castle crowning the hill above the tiny fishing harbour. Returning from a trip to Sigri we turned left off the main highway and down through the narrow streets of Skalochori. The map showed a minor road route from here back to Petra. As we passed through the village the road became a track and after about 3km traveling slowly with the windows down we suddenly heard an incredible sound. From a pond just to the left of the track we were hearing a loud echoing chorus of toads.As we alighted and crept nearer we discovered a true wild life haven...
